On February 22, 2022, Fox10 Cory McCloskey visited Hickman’s Family Farms’ PET (polyethylene terephthalate) carton fabrication facility in Avondale (see video above). This is where plastic egg cartons are made from recycled water bottles. PET is recognized as a safe, non-toxic, strong, lightweight, flexible material that is 100 percent recyclable. In fact, it’s the most widely recycled plastic in the world. Cory interviewed Branden Hickman – Supply Chain Manager, Phillip Scott – PET Plant Manager, and Keith Czarniak – Process Technician.
