Welcome to
Hickman's Family Farms...
Hickman's Family Farms has provided fresh eggs since 1944.
From of a flock of less than 500 in Grandma Hickman's back yard to our current flock of laying hens in environmentally friendly, automated houses - we've gotten bigger and better over the years.
Regardless of change and progress, we remain committed to the Hickman basic business formula: good service and excellent quality at a fair price. continued...

Transport Your Students
to a Working Egg Farm
From Joanne Ivy of the American Egg Board:
As you may have heard, this year, the Good Egg Project has partnered with Discovery Education to create the Good Egg Project: Education Station. The partnership includes a microsite where teachers and parents can download lesson plans, take-home activities and access recipes that educate students (and parents) about the egg farm-to-table process and the nutritional benefits of eggs. We encourage you to check it out!
As part of the partnership, we’re also inviting teachers and students from across the nation to participate in the first-ever VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP TO AN EGG FARM! On April 18 at 1 p.m. ET, we’ll be transporting students, teachers and selected members of the media to Hickman’s Family Farms in Arizona to see how eggs make the trip from the hen house, to their tables. During the one-hour field trip, teachers and students learn about the following:
- Hen houses
- Egg production/processing plant
- Common egg farm and environmental innovations
In addition, students and teachers can participate in a live Q&A session with Clint and Sharman Hickman, by pre-submitting questions after they register. We’ll also be hosting a Q&A session with select members of the media, after students and teachers have signed off.
We’d be happy to have you tune into the event, which you can easily do by registering here. We would also love to have your help spreading the word to any educational contacts you might have. We’ve created the notice below with additional details about the field trip and how they can register, that can be easily forwarded on to your contacts. The field trip is open to all schools grades K-5. We’re looking forward to this INCREDIBLE opportunity!
Please contact me with any questions. Joanne Ivy

A Facelift Just in Time for AZ’s Centennial…

It wasn’t that long ago that Wesley Bolin Plaza in Phoenix was in dire need of some major TLC. “It was morale busting,” says Clint Hickman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Hickman’s Family Farms. With the state’s Centennial just around the corner (February 14 in case you haven’t yet marked your calendar), Hickman wanted to do something — after all, Wesley Bolin Plaza sits right in front of the Arizona Capitol building… that, and it’s really the centerpiece of the downtown area, so how could it not be in tip-top shape for AZs big 100? Alas, budget cuts meant little could be done to revitalize the area.
Community helping revamp area near Capitol for Centennial event
Phoenix Business Journal by DiAngelea Millar
Date: Friday, December 9, 2011
When Arizona Sen. Steve Pierce, R-Prescott, toured Hickman’s Family Farms in Buckeye several months ago, he struck up a conversation with Clint Hickman about the need for landscaping improvements at Wesley Bolin Plaza — particularly in light of the fact that the Arizona Centennial celebration is to be held there Feb. 14.
Hickman, vice president of sales and marketing at the family business, quickly offered to help.
The two later met at Pierce’s office and thought of everything that needed to be done to spruce up the plaza near the Arizona Capitol, then reached out to other groups that could ...

Of all the dignitaries I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, the one that impressed my kids the most had blue fur. However, there is no truth to the rumor that Hickman's plans to partner up with Big Bird to open a new farm on Sesame Street. However, we are very proud to be a part of the Good Egg Project, and a sponsor of Sesame Street.
